It’s been another busy week here in my little corner of the world. I wish that I had something exciting to share with you, but I don’t.
Oh, we did get some more snow. Old man winter just won’t give up. He refuses to leave despite having long outlasted his welcome.
My own life consists of work, writing, Netflix and the occasional household chore. Not necessarily in that order. I do like to shake it up once in a while. Cause you know, I don’t wanna become predictable.
Although I’ve mostly replaced household chores with writing. Given the lack of hours in a day and the lack of days in a week, I had to make a choice. And I chose writing.
It wasn’t much of a struggle really. Housework versus writing. The housework will always wait for me. Unfortunately. And now it’s begun to sing out in desperation.
I’m gonna have to get to it soon though. I’ve discovered housework can’t carry a tune. Who knew?🤔 Please don’t answer that!
My words, on the other hand, often have a mind of their own. They’re even more stubborn than me. 😉 I’m not always sure how I feel about that. I’m stubborn enough for all of us. You’ll be happy to know that we did manage to find a balance that kind of works.
With a little coffee on the side of course!
The day they invent a robot to do my chores for me, I’m taking a huge chunk out of my savings account (it won’t be cheap). Ah, sweet bliss! No more slaving over an ironing board or washing those pesky windows.
I’ll probably spend years building up my account again, but no odds. Or maybe I’ll wait until they go on sale and save a few dollars anyway.
Say what you really mean there, Will.
Admit it. You’d get one too. I haven’t met anyone that enjoyed cleaning yet. And yes, I’m aware there’s a first for everything. Not this post, though.😊
So… like I said, I wish that I had something – anything – of importance to share, but all I have is another poem.
When all else fails, the poetry remains.
And in case you get a chance to read it, here’s the link to my poem. This one celebrates a mother’s love.
