One Size Fits All

Blue Jeans and rainbow flag symbol of gay pride.

Stuck in these clothes that don’t fit –

Time to throw them out –

But one size fits all.

Says who?

Stuck in a body that doesn’t fit –

But one size fits all.

Then why don’t I Fit?

I don’t act like  I’m s’pose to.

I don’t look like I’m s’pose to.

And why am I s’pose to like this or that?

And why does it matter?

Is there some rule I didn’t learn?

Distracted they say –

Maybe I didn’t hear that lesson.

Maybe I had other things goin’ on –

Like where do I fit in a world that’s too tight?

It needs to loosen up

’cause I’m not gettin’ any smaller.

I’m growin’ stronger.

I won’t be held back.

The real question is:

Can you keep up?

    1. I would have to agree Jacqueline. Long live our similarities and differences. I like to think of us as works in progress. We all need to find what works best for us and to accept each other as we are. We’re all doing the best we can. Thank you for stopping by!
