Moon Waning

Inner Life of the Moon

As she lay there at night,

wondering where it all went wrong.

Wondering what ‘she’ did wrong.

Escaping the cage only to remain trapped.

Still trapped in fear –

Its grip unshakable.

Unconvinced just yet.

One cage replaced by another.

Where do you put the hurt

when you’re done?…

Unfolding of Self

As she lay there at night,

under a waning moon.

Wrapped inside the arms of innocence.

Wise beyond their tears.

Each bestowing strength upon the other.

Wishing it were different.

Wishing the world was diff’rent.

The difference clear in their conviction.

Once uncertain, now decided.

Trumpets sounding

in the distance.

Alone tree and star trail Photography for your interior.
